- 300 miles max: Drive no more than 300 miles per day. Motorhomes are larger and heavier than standard cars, so they can require more concentration.
- Arrive by 3pm: Reach your next campsite or stop no later than 3:00pm, giving you plenty of daylight to park the vehicle and connect up.
- Stay 3 nights: Stay at least 3 nights. This provides two full days to explore or rest before packing up and setting off again.

What to Know Before Buying a 2-Berth Motorhome
Most 2-berth motorhomes use one of three layouts: a fixed bed that you never need to make up, a drop-down bed that frees up living space during the day, or a rear lounge that converts into a bed at night. Each layout offers different benefits depending on what you are looking for. Most layouts also include a full kitchen with a hob, sink and fridge, plus a washroom with either a separate shower cubicle or a wet room and a fixed toilet.
One of the biggest reasons people choose a 2-berth motorhome is how easy it is to live with day to day. Most sit under 3,500kg, so you can drive one on a standard driving licence. If it exceeds 3,500kg, you will need C1 entitlement. Being smaller and lighter than a family-sized motorhome makes 2-berths easier to park and store, as well as less intimidating for first-time motorhome owners.
