See Us on the Bailey Stand at the UK’s Biggest Caravan Show!

Very soon you’ll be able to come and meet members of Spinney staff at Birmingham’s wonderful NEC. The six day Caravan, Camping & Motorhome Show runs between 21st and 26th February, and we’re proud to be in attendance as guests on the Bailey caravans stand. You can find us in Hall 3 on Stand 3020, and the show is open from 10am to 6pm each day. You can get your tickets in advance.

Though you’re sure to encounter plenty of other caravan excellence, perhaps the most exciting news is that Bailey is showcasing new models in its popular Discovery range. Launched within the last few days, the three new models showcase everything that’s great about Bailey – so why not come and find out for yourself at the Caravan, Camping & Motorhome Show?

The New Bailey Discovery

With updated styling, their most contemporary and comfortable caravan has finally arrived! Available in three compact layouts (for two to four people), the Discovery D4-2, Discovery D4-4L and Discovery D4-4 each give you the perfect base for on-the-road adventures and evening chill-out. The interiors are packed with features to make life comfortable and convenient, while the unique Alu-Tech wrap around bodyshell profile (with GRP outer skin built on an AL-KO galvanised steel chassis) offers improved aerodynamics and a really cool look in Polar White and Dove Grey – whether you’re travelling to your next destination or parked up and proud.

1. Discovery D4-2

The Bailey Discovery D4-2 is (as the name suggests) designed for two and so it’s perfect for couples looking for a cosy space to enjoy a quick getaway. This lightweight single axle beauty is 5.615m (18′5″) in length and 2.228m (7′4″) width, so provides a decent amount of interior space in which to pack its key features.

The front vertical opening skylight means plenty of natural light can flood in and create a great ambience, and that those enjoying the social space inside can get fantastic views of wherever they’re parked up. The sofa seating in the front lounge area converts into a comfortable double bed when it’s time to rest, via a slatted make-up system on an easy glide track. Plenty of locker space, both below and above, offers storage for the bits and pieces you’ll take on your trips.

The kitchen area features a Thetford Triplex combi oven and grill with three gas burner hob, a fridge, sink and dedicated cutlery drawer plus cupboard space. The washroom, at the rear of the unit, features a Belfast style hand basin and mixer tap, an inboard shower unit with ceramic ball mixer tap, an Ecocamel shower head and riser bar and a cassette toilet. There’s also storage space for your wash kit.

In terms of domestic utility, the Discovery D4-2 features a Truma Combi 2 heating system, combined water and room heating with dual fuel 2kw gas and 1.8kw electric power sources. It’s controlled from a user-friendly panel and features adjustable fan and water boost functions. You’ll easily be comfortable in this environment!

2. Discovery D4-4L

The Bailey Discovery D4-4L is designed for four and is a great caravan for smaller families to enjoy some time away. This lightweight single axle caravan comes in at 5.922m (19′5″) in length and 2.228m (7′4″) width, so there’s a good level of interior space for the key features.

Fold-out pull-up bunkbeds convert from a seating area in the middle of the caravan, providing a great second bed which features a privacy curtain. This innovative layout feature means plenty of social space during the day and a convenient second bed at night. The main bed is at the front of the unit, where the lounge seating easily converts into a comfortable double.

3. Discovery D4-4

This model takes things to another level. The Bailey Discovery D4-4 is designed for four people and is perfect for families looking for a great space to make holidays happy. As the longest of the three new models, this lightweight single axle caravan clocks in at 7.149m (23′5″) in length and 2.228m (7′4″) width, so there’s a fantastic amount of extra interior space to accommodate some brilliant key features.

In keeping with the other Discovery models, the front vertical opening skylight ensures the light flooding in from outdoors creates a great atmosphere, and the social space up at the front of the caravan gets the best views of the great outdoors. The style sofa seating in this social space features quality fabrics and comfortable cushions with foam back rests. It easily converts into a comfortable double bed (via a slatted make-up system on an easy glide track), which complements the fixed double at the rear of the vehicle in a dedicated ‘bedroom area’.

The kitchen area is well kitted, featuring a large, round stainless steel sink with concealed fixings and mixer tap, a Dometic 101 litre refrigerator and 12 litre freezer with high security travel lock, and the all-important Thetford Triplex combination oven and grill. There’s also plenty of storage space for your food, crockery and cutlery and cooking equipment – so the whole family will be well catered for with the minimum of upheaval!
