Week number five already!!
For this week, we have chosen Pant-Yr-Onnen leisure park which is set in the most picturesque location along the Southern shores of Bala Lake (Llyn Tegid) which is within the Snowdonia National Park.
The site offers amazing facilities such as:
- Toilets
- Disabled toilet and shower (showers take a 50p and run for 8 minutes)
- Shower block with family shower cubicles
- Washing-up facilities
- Electric hook-ups
- Washing machine
- Direct access to beach and lake shore
- Great boat launch sites
- Refuse disposal point
- Elsan point
- WiFi
They have a direct access to the Lake and that is one of out favourite things about this site! It is perfect for those who love sailing, canoeing, kayaking, fishing and open water swimming or simply walking and cycling through the stunning countryside. The views are incredible!
If that isn’t enough, the small market town of Bala is just 3 miles away and provides shops, restaurants, leisure and water sports centres, pubs and takeaways. Within easy walking distance from the site, the Llangower railway station is situated. The railway runs from Bala to Llanuwchllyn therefore there are plenty of places to visit along the way. There is also Bala golf club and Dolgellau golf club nearby if a round of golf is what you’re after!
Pant-Yr-Onnen became one of our favourites as there is plenty to do for everyone at this site and surrounding areas and the views are amazing.
