In exciting news, Bailey’s first ever panel van conversion will debut at this year’s Motorhome & Caravan Show (at the NEC in early October). The Endeavour will also be on sale at all three branches of Spinney for the 2024 season…

The Endeavour is, as the name suggests, a new venture for the popular Bristol-based leisure vehicle manufacturer. Managing Director Nick Howard says: “Panel van conversions remain the fastest growing sector in the UK market, and consequently we feel that it is now the right time to expand our product offering and introduce the Bailey brand to a wider audience”. The Endeavour is the company’s flagship for the 2024 season, and Bailey will begin producing it at the end of this year.

The Endeavour is Bailey’s first ever panel van conversion, and is packed with character. The company approached its development and manufacture with a wise eye built on 75 years of experience and some off-script innovation.

Panel van conversions offer the opportunity for a highly convenient holiday experience plus all-round rest-of-the-year use. Due to their size and weight they can be driven on a standard UK driving licence, are highly manageable and handle well, so provide a quality day-to-day runner. Bailey’s new Endeavour may just be the best of the bunch – compact by design but immense in performance.

With a handsome exterior featuring cool Chrome Blue colouring, and a spacious interior packed with features to enhance holiday or home life, the Endeavour is a stylish and highly capable conversion available in two models.

1. Bailey Endeavour B62

The B62 is the Endeavour’s two-berth model. The flexible u-shaped lounge space at the rear of the Endeavour offers great comfort and is customisable to provide parallel single beds or conversion into a double. The B62 also features a central kitchen and washroom.

2. Bailey Endeavour B64

The B64 is the Endeavour’s four-berth model which includes up to 4 travel seats. The front lounge can be converted into either twin singles or a double, with an additional double bed in the pop top roof over the front lounge (though this is not accessible if the double below is made up). The B64 features a rear kitchen and washroom.

Driving the Endeavour

Both models of the Endeavour are built on a 3.5 tonne Ford Transit, powered by a 2.0 litre 155 bhp engine complete with 6-speed automatic gearbox, so driving will be a dream.

In the cab, fully adjustable driver and passenger Captain’s seats with dual arm rests set the tone for a comfortable driving experience, with a host of additional enhancements including air conditioning, cruise control and rear-view camera plus front and rear parking sensors all coming as standard. There’s a full infotainment system too, which features a large touchscreen HD display, in colour, including satellite navigation, Bluetooth and USB connectivity and a DAB radio (with Apple Carplay / Android Auto).

The Endeavour provides everything the driver needs to feel comfortable, confident and in control when they’re at the wheel.

Style in the Endeavour

The Endeavour features a combination of Bailey’s finest materials and finishes. The Light Oak, Satin Cashmere and Anthracite furniture finishes, plus the premium quality Apollo soft furnishings and Hazelnut drop in carpets, make the Endeavour’s interior space sing with aesthetic harmony. An overcab sunroof floods natural light into the living area, creating a fresh but homely ambience for everyone to enjoy. Flush-fit double-glazed tinted windows with pleated flyscreens and night blinds complete the stylish vibe.

Adventure living in the Endeavour

The fully equipped kitchen in each Endeavour model includes a Thetford Triplex combination oven and grill with three burners – meaning you can cook up a storm and meal-times will see everyone well catered for. There’s also a Thetford 90 litre fridge, plus circular sink with mixer tap, a drop-down worktop extension and plenty of storage.

The cleverly designed wet room in the Endeavour features an innovative revolving tambour partition screen, a real space saver, and contains a Thetford cassette toilet and onboard Ecocamel shower with riser bar. Keeping clean and tidy in a panel van conversion has never been easier.

When it’s time to relax, the two Endeavour models are pre-wired for the easy installation of the (optional) Avtex mobile wi-fi system. You can stay connected to the world when you’re off on your travels – browsing the internet, updating your socials and streaming your favourites. The Status 570 telescopic digital TV aerial and wall mounted TV bracket (which has been sited to allow space for a 24” screen) provide the basis for your evening’s entertainment. There are four 230v sockets plus four USB ports which means you can stay powered up and your devices will never run out of juice.

Power and Control

1. Self Sufficiency:

For a powerful on-the-road experience, the Endeavour is fitted with a 100-watt flexible solar panel (Truma) and a 92 amp/hour leisure battery which can combine to offer authentic self-sufficiency for ‘off-grid’ holidays.

2. Efficiency:

The Endeavour is a bonafide all-weather vehicle. Both models feature a heating and hot water system from Truma (D4E Diesel Combi) so you can control your environment and stay temperate whatever the outdoor conditions. The fully insulated bodyshell (including thick bonded floor and ceiling) contributed to the Endeavour achieving the highest rating for thermal performance (Grade III Classification EN1646-I) during Bailey’s rigorous cold chamber testing, where it faced temperatures of -15°C and maintained an interior 20°.

Bailey also sent the Endeavour off on a 2,745 mile trip to the Sahara, North Africa. With 450m sand dunes and temperatures ranging from 58° days to -18° nights, the Endeavour took on and chewed up everything this demanding landscape had in store.

See the new Endeavor from Bailey for the very first time at the Motorhome and Caravan Show, at the NEC in Birmingham, on Tuesday 17th October. Contact Spinney for more information on this perfect panel van conversion.
