Round-up from the Motorhome and Caravan Awards for 2024

In this edition of our blog we focus on a couple of moments of Bailey brilliance. Two motorhomes from the Bristol-based manufacturer which won their categories in this year’s Motorhome & Campervan Design Awards 2024 (by the Caravan & Motorhome Club). Bailey Endeavour B64

Winner: Van Conversions With A Rising Or Pop Top Roof, 6 Metres & Under

Bailey’s initial foray into panel van conversions, the Bailey Endeavour campervan was launched in 2023 and made an immediate impact on leisure vehicle lovers everywhere. With a sleek exterior in stunning Chrome Blue and a feature-rich, spacious interior available in two models, the Endeavour is an adventurer’s dream.

The four-berth edition, the B64, was recognised for its versatile pop top roof, at the recent awards. The van is ideal for accommodating a quartet of individuals, whether sleeping or travelling (as it includes four belted travel seats). The front lounge can be quickly converted into a double or twin single beds, which is complemented by a convenient additional double bed sited in the pop-top roof (however, inaccessible when the lower double is in use). The pop top, when not in use as a bed, offers travellers great extra headroom when they have reached their destination and parked up.

Other features of the Endeavour

The Bailey Endeavour B64 also boasts many other areas and features of note, which highlight it as more than just a pop top.

• Driving: Both models of the Bailey Endeavour are constructed on a 3.5-tonne Ford Transit chassis, powered by a 2.0-liter 155 bhp engine with a 6-speed automatic gearbox, so driving is a powerful pleasure thought the vehicle remains handleable. Adjustable Captain’s seats, air conditioning, cruise control, rear-view camera, parking sensors, and a comprehensive infotainment system enhance comfort, convenience and control for the driver.
• Living: The kitchen and washroom configuration features everyday life’s functional spaces at the rear of the vehicle. The kitchen is well-equipped and features a Thetford Triplex combination oven and grill, a Thetford 90-litre fridge, a circular sink with mixer tap and plenty of storage. The cleverly designed wet room offers convenience and functionality in perfect balance, incorporating a revolving tambour partition screen, Thetford cassette toilet and an Eco camel shower.
• Powering: The Bailey Endeavour B64 campervan is equipped with a 100-watt flexible solar panel and a 92 amp/hour leisure battery, so it’s perfect for adventures when you want to spend some time off-grid. It features a Truma heating and hot water system so there’s the chance for a great interior ambient temperature in all weather conditions.

Judging on the evidence of this year’s win in the Motorhome & Campervan Design Awards 2024, the Endeavour suggests Bailey’s first foray into panel van conversions is a great success. It’s available now, here at Spinney.

Bailey Alora 69-4S

Winner: Three Or Four Berth Coachbuilt Motorhome, 7 Metres & Under

The slimline Alora joined Bailey’s motorhome range in 2024, offering another well-considered design and stylish finish to join the company’s already impressive ranks. Bringing together the versatility of a van conversion with the comfort of a coachbuilt vehicle, the Bailey Alora is 7 metres in length, 2.12 meters wide, and can be driven on a standard UK driving licence due to its MAM of 3,500kg. The 69-4S model was singled out for recognition at the Motorhome & Campervan Design Awards 2024, and with good reason.

The four berth Bailey Alora 69-4S motorhome comfortably accommodates four individuals, and includes a spacious layout ensuring all travellers benefit from the comfort and convenience, including a rear bedroom with a transverse double bed, and end garage for added storage convenience. In addition, the versatile front Flexi-lounge features twin parallel seats which convert into Aguti travel seats to accommodate extra passengers. The lounge also includes a floor-mounted pedestal table suitable for dining for up to four people.

Other features of the Alora

Constructed using Bailey’s patented Alu-Tech construction technology, Bailey Alora motorhomes are built on a Ford Transit cab and chassis platform, powered by a 2.0-liter 130 bhp engine paired with a 6-speed manual gearbox (with an optional automatic gearbox upgrade). The cab includes features designed to enhance driving ease, including adjustable driver and passenger seats, air conditioning, adaptive cruise control and a comprehensive infotainment system. The thoughtfully designed interior of the Alora boasts premium finishes and stylish furnishings.
