2026 Elddis Whirlwind GTV 554—the most compact model in the range, yet packed with clever design and premium features. Powered by a trusted Peugeot Boxer 2.2L 140 BHP engine, this model comes with an 8-speed automatic gearbox as standard, making every journey smooth and effortless. At only 5.41m long, it’s the easiest to drive and park in the Whirlwind line-up but still offers seating for four and sleeping space for three—ideal for adventurous couples or a small family. With a weight of 3,500kg, it remains accessible to anyone holding a standard UK driving licence.
Inside, the GTV 554 combines light-toned cabinetry with dark, stylish upholstery for a modern and versatile look. The front dinette includes two belted travel seats and quickly converts into a spacious single bed. At the back, a fixed double bed folds upright, opening full access through the barn doors and creating a generous garage storage area underneath. By adding the optional pop-top roof, the van can be upgraded from a 3-berth to a 5-berth (additional costs apply), offering extra flexibility for growing families or guests.
The kitchen and washroom facilities have been smartly arranged for practicality on the road. The nearside kitchen is fitted with a Thetford 420 gas oven, a 2-burner hob, and a 90L Thetford fridge. Directly opposite, the bathroom comes with a modern washbowl and click-clack plug, a retractable tap that doubles as a shower head, and a Thetford toilet with automatic flush from the onboard water system. Comfort is taken care of with the Truma Combi 4 heating and hot water system, which is both space-saving and energy-efficient. The integrated 10-litre water tank is insulated for winter use, and in warmer months, the hot water can be heated independently of the living area.
The GTV 554 also comes generously equipped as standard. Highlights include a Grey exterior finish, a DAB multimedia system with steering wheel controls, a 90L diesel tank, 100L fresh water tank, and a 90L waste tank. Added conveniences such as an electric entry step, wind-out awning, bed conversion kit, and wooden shower grate are also included, along with gas bottle storage and solar panel wiring.
